Dyer County Man Indicted for Murder

James Boxley, the man who Dyer County deputies believe killed his own nephew during a violent argument has been indicted in the fatal stabbing. A Dyer County grand jury indicted Boxley on a charge of first degree premeditated murder in the stabbing death of his 23-year-old nephew, Isaac Atkins. Investigators said a fight between the two men took a turn for the worse, ending with Boxley stabbing Atkins in the head with a butcher knife. Atkins died a short time later at a Memphis hospital.
