Police said it will take the help of the public to solve a murder that occurred at a Martin nightclub early Saturday morning. “There were several people around where the incident took place. We just haven’t received enough information at this point,” said Captain Don Teal of the Martin Police Department. Capt. Teal said they have received some tips, but none that have led to an arrest. Police said Justin Parker, 22, of Dresden, was gunned down at the Hut Nut Nightclub. Investigators said there was so much commotion that officers heard patrons running from the nightclub and responded. “If you know anything or you know someone who might know something, give us a call,” said Capt. Teal. Parker’s mother, Cassandra Parker, said her son had just served a six year sentence in prison and had only been released five weeks before he was fatally shot. “It hurts. It really hurts. It’s like a part of me has been taken away,” said Parker. Parker said her heart goes out to the family of the person that murdered her son. “I just wish they’d stop all the violence. I hope my son’s life will help some other child turn their life around,” said Parker.
