Bethel to Dedicate Odom Hall
Bethel University is celebration this weekend and for good reason. The newly renovated Odom Hall will be officially dedicated, Saturday. The 60-year-old building will now house offices for math faculty, classroom space and a new 140-seat state-of-the-art lecture hall. Originally used as a seminary, Odom Hall served the university in many ways and is just one of a number of improvements that can be seen on the McKenzie Campus. “It is taking a building back rather than just demolishing it and putting up something new,” said Steve Prosser, vice president of Bethel University. “So here on the campus, we are going through a campus beautification. We have some order facilities that we are brining up to speed and we are intermingling new facilities with them as well.” The namesake of the building, former Bethel president William Odom, will be on hand for the dedication. It is set for 11, Saturday morning.
