Wreck Stops Traffic Along I-40

There were some tense moments for drivers Friday afternoon along Interstate 40 in northeast Jackson. Troopers with the THP said a wreck involving and 18-wheeler and a car, just east of Exit 85 brought traffic to a standstill. The semi, driving west bound, made a lane change and apparently clipped the back of the car, causing the driver to lose control and veer into the median. The crash backed up traffic for some time while crews worked to clear the scene. The driver of the car suffered non life-threatening injuries. Troopers said all lanes of traffic have been reopened
