Investigators in Henderson County are looking for a burglar who took some uncommon items from a local church. Reports show the Emmanuel Baptist Church in the Luray Community is missing five firearms after an early Sunday morning break in. Investigators said the reason there were guns stored in the church is because the pastor is a hunter and was temporarily living at the church. Luray Missionary Baptist was also broken into the same day; however, nothing was reported stolen from that location. “My thinking is someone knew there was living quarters in it, knew the pastor hunted, and knew he was going to have some guns,” said Captain Tracy Gisham. Grisham said they are looking for a truck suspected in the burglaries. He described it as an early 90’s model GMC or Chevrolet truck with gray and some red dull coloring. If you have seen this vehicle contact the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department at 731-968-7777.
