Herron Grove Rd. Bridge Near Completion

The Herron Grove Road bridge is nearly ready to be reopened after storms and flooding closed the roadway for more than a year. According to Jackson Mayor Jerry Gist, crews have been working on the paving of the news bridge and it should be completed and open within the next two weeks. Issues with fining a contractor to repair the bridge delayed the process until city council members approved a measure and contract to replace it, which allowed work to begin this spring.
