Lambuth University was granted an emergency petition to allow nine employees to be paid, Friday. The emergency petition was filed earlier this week, asking a federal bankruptcy judge to allow the university to pay its remaining hourly employees. According to the filing, the university requested to pay more than $4,100 in wages and benefits to the nine hourly workers. The school said the staff members are necessary to maintain the campus until it is turned over to its new owners.
