Nashville Pharmacist Charged With Illegal Sales

A Nashville pharmacist has pleaded guilty to illegally distributing prescription painkillers and not reporting the income.

Glenn Brooks, who formerly owned Brooks Pharmacy, entered the pleas Monday and will be sentenced Oct. 28, according to The Tennessean.

The 74-year-old Brooks admitted buying nearly 2 million hydrocodone and Lortab pills and selling many of them for cash to people who didn’t have prescriptions for the high-potency drugs. He also admitted not declaring $84,000 in 2005 and $169,000 in 2006 as taxable income.
