Jackson Woman Charged with DUI in Georgia

A Jackson mother faces charges near Atlanta, Ga., after officers say she was drunk and speeding with four children in the vehicle with her. Maria Michelle Baylor, 35, faces 10 separate charges in connection with her arrest on July 7. Marrietta Police say she was clocked at 90 miles per hour and had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol when she was pulled over. All four children in the vehicle with her at the time are under the age of 14. Court papers show Baylor was also charged with “terroristic threats” after allegedly threatening an officer. At last check, she remained jailed in Cobb County, Ga., in lieu of $35,000.
