Stolen Property Found After ATV Theft
A wanted Gibson County man was arrested after being caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. In the process, he racked up several more charges. According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, Charles F. Scott of Humboldt was attempting to steal a four wheeler from a house on Highway 104 late last week. The owner of the house says he saw him and called 911 but Scott drove off and ended up pulling into the driveway of a Lexington police officer. The officer had been warned that Scott was driving his direction and had warrants out of Milan. He then was able to chase him down and detain him until Henderson County Deputy John Cox arrived. “He was very irate just for the simple fact he was going to jail and we didn’t even have charges on him. It was for another county that he had charges,” said Deputy Cox. After being placed under arrest, deputies discovered Scott was driving a stolen car full of stolen property out of Humboldt.
