Grico Clark, 18, appeared in Jackson City Court, along with Jordan Curry, 18. Each face seven counts in the July 11 attack on a couple outside and apartment complex. The man testified to being pistol whipped by Curry while being held in his girlfriend’s apartment. The woman told the court Clark and a third man, Deangelo White took her to another apartment to get more money where she was able to call for help. After hearing the testimony, the judge bound the cased over to the grand jury. White’s preliminary hearing was rescheduled to give his family time to hire an attorney. Clark and Curry both had a second preliminary hearing on unrelated charges. However, Clark waived his on a charge of attempted especially aggravated robbery. But in Curry’s case, three witnesses took the stand. He faces a first degree murder charge in the Memorial Day shooting death of Marketis Bailey. One witness, who prosecutors asked ABC 7 Eyewitness News not identify, testified that Bailey and Curry were in an argument over a car and guns, when Curry went looking for Bailey. After hearing the testimony, the judge sent the case on to the grand jury. Curry remains jailed without bond.
