A suspect who police said hogtied, gagged and robbed an area real estate agent inside a north Jackson home, is facing charges for the crime. Stephen Davis, 26, turned himself in to Jackson police around 10:30 Wednesday night. Thursday morning, Davis was charged with aggravated kidnapping and robbery in city court. He is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond. Davis appeared to speak to relatives in city court, “Please get me out.” Lexington Police said they have recovered a van he was allegedly driving at the time of the alleged crime. Investigators believe on Wednesday, the Jackson man posed as a plumber and lured the woman to the home under the pretense that he wanted to buy a house. Investigators said Davis told them he had planned to rape the woman, but did not because she screamed so loudly he thought someone may have heard her. Amazingly, the woman was not physically hurt in the attack. Court papers showed she was left tied and gagged in a closet. Davis returns to court July 28.
