Former FBI Agent Headed To Prison

A former FBI agent in Nashville has been sentenced to four years in prison for wire and bankruptcy fraud related to his purchase of rental properties totaling more than $1.25 million.

Forty-four-year-old Darin Lee McAllister of Brentwood, Tenn., was also ordered by a federal judge Thursday to pay $675,000 in restitution to the victims of his fraud and a special assessment of $1,800.

He was convicted last December of devising a scheme to defraud a bank in connection with a $100,000 line of credit and lying about his subsequent bankruptcy petition.

McAllister was an FBI agent when indicted in May 2010. He was later fired.
