Jackson Police Checkpoints
Here is another reminder to drivers for the weekend. As part of their effort to reduce crashes in the Hub City, Jackson Police will be out in force with special enforcement. Officers will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement throughout the city. Officers will concentrate their efforts on removing impaired drivers from street and roads. They will also be checking for safety belt and child restraint usage. The project is being funded by the National Traffic Safety Administration and the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
