Missing Whiteville Man Found

The man from Whiteville who has been missing since Sunday has been found. According to Whiteville police, Jimmy Robert Bevel, 49, was found around 4, Wednesday afternoon after K-9 officers followed his scent to a ravine off South Bass Street in Whiteville. Officers said Bevel was talking to them when they rescued him from the 20 to 35 foot ravine. He is currently in the hospital but neither of his injuries or condition have been released. Bevel’s abandoned truck was found, Tuesday.
