Men Arrested and Charged in Beating

A brawl in Henderson County ends with two brothers being stabbed, hospitalized, and later charged for aggravated assault. According to Henderson County Deputies, Edward and Robert Peterson were in a brief argument with Randy Secrease and asked the man to leave their home in the Wildersville community. Investigators said after Secrease left, the brothers came to another residence to find Secrease and began to beat him with a shovel. However, the report showed Secrease pulled out a pocket knife and began swinging and stabbing at the men. Both of the Peterson brothers had to be hospitalized for their injuries and now face aggravated assault charges. Deputies determined that Secrease acted in self-defense. Captain Tracy Grisham said his injuries are brutal. “They were using shovel handles, kicking him with their boots, he had a major cut on one eye. He had abrasions and lacerations in the back of the head. He was just bleeding all over the face,” said Captain Grisham. Edward Peterson was arrested Tuesday night after being released from the hospital and is currently free on bond. His brother, Robert, remained hospitalized. Deputies said he will be arrested as soon as he is released.
