Heat Warning All Weekend

Friday’s scattered showers gave most of west Tennesseans a break from the oppressive heat, but weather experts said the break is short-lived. Forecasters are looking for the dangerous heat wave to last through the weekend. The National Weather Service has issued and Excessive Heat Warning to last from late Saturday morning through 10, Sunday night. Heat indices will range from 106-117 degrees are expected to peak between between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The sweltering temperatures give an even greater chance of heat-related illnesses and health leaders want to remind you to use proper precautions in the heat.
