Tax-Free Holiday Starts Friday

This weekend, marks the beginning of a state holiday many parents and retailers alike look forward to each year. Beginning Friday, through Sunday night at Midnight, they will be taking advantage of Tennessee’s Tax-Free Holiday Weekend. Shoppers will be able to purchase clothing, school and art supplies totaling $100 or less and computers totaling $1500 or less, without the burden of paying state or local sales tax. The state of Tennessee’s annual sales tax holiday is held every year on the first Friday in August.
