Mother Charged with Assault, Endangerment

A Jackson mother accused of trying to run over her boyfriend while leaving her young children at home is free on $7,500 bond. Taylor Delayne Owens, 20, faces charges of aggravated domestic assault and three counts of child endangerment. Investigators said Sunday, Owens first tried to run over the man with her car, then got out and chased him with part of a cinder block. Officers said her children who were 7, 5, and 2 were home alone at the time.
