North Side Student Charged with Possession of a Weapon
A 16-year-old North Side High School student was arrested, Monday and charged with possession of a weapon on school property. While patrolling the parking lot at North Side, the school resource officer reported seeing a shotgun shell box on the dashboard of a student’s vehicle. The deputy reported finding an unloaded .22-caliber rifle in the vehicle, along with 68 live rounds of .22-caliber ammunition. At last report, the teen remained at the Madison County Detention Center. His first hearing has not been set.
