Lambuth Creditor Matrix Released
The list of Lambuth University’s creditors is now in and shows debts totaling $9,656,941.56, of which $3,601,784.15 is owed in unsecured debt. $958,910.41 is owed to Lambuth employees for wages. “It just got out of hand, I guess,” said college student, Tallaferro Parker. Lambuth owes businesses, large and small, along with a string of public entities and individuals. Records showed in all, Lambuth owes 259 different debts to companies ranging from as little as $25 to as much as $1.3 million. “It’s a lot of papers….It’s thick,” said Parker. A motion for Attorney Stephen Hughes to represent the interests of all unsecured creditors was just entered. Hughes was unable to comment on the case. “I guess since it was Lambuth University, it has so much credit behind the name,” said Parker.
