Woman Shot At Jackson Walmart, Husband In Custody

Jackson police have charged a Hardeman County man with attempted murder after he shot his wife in the parking lot of the Walmart on South Highland. Police said Wallace Jimmerson, 52, first tried to run over his wife with his truck and then shot her with a shotgun. Nancy Jimmerson was struck in the arm and both legs with the shotgun pellets and is currently in stable condition. Wallace Jimmerson was captured about 45 minutes after the 11 a.m. shooting following a pursuit and foot chase near his Toone home in Hardeman County.
