Brownsville Police Identify and Search for Shooting Suspect
The Brownsville Police Department has issued warrants for the charges of first degree murder and attempted first degree murder on Lakendrick Deberry, age 19, of Brownsville. According to a news release, Wednesday evening, officers responded to a report of a shooting on Lark Street in Brownsville. Upon arrival, officers found two victims, a male adult and a male juvenile, who had both been shot. Investigators said the adult, Cedric Lamond Person, 36, was transported to Haywood Park Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The juvenile victim was airlifted to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, and is listed in stable condition.
