Paducah Metro Government Plan Advances
A commission looking at a possible merger of Paducah and McCracken County governments is urging residents to review the plan and ask questions.
A subcommittee of the Charter County Government Commission met Thursday to discuss publishing a draft plan and setting forums to explain it, according to The Paducah Sun (http://bit.ly/ocau4h ).
The full commission voted in June to not put the issue on the fall ballot, allowing time for people who live within the city and county to learn more about it and get answers to questions they might have about a merged government.
The subcommittee agreed Thursday to conduct forums in October and November at the four public high school in the county
