Bolivar School Break-Ins Solved

Bolivar Police said after weeks of investigation they have made arrest in connection with several break-ins at Bolivar Elementary School. “Somebody had broken in(to) the long glass hall. They had busted that window and the window to the office was broken out,” said Bolivar resident, Ashley Plunkett. Bolivar police arrested and charged Robert Lee Harris, 18, and two juveniles with nine counts of burglary and three counts of vandalism. Authorities said the teens allegedly stole five new laptops and a new television. “They damaged and stole over $11,000 worth of property,” said Lt. Shane Swift with the Bolivar Police Department. Lt. Swift said at least one and possibly more arrests will follow. He said one separate occasions the chief and an investigator spent the night at the school in an effort to catch the teens. “He (the chief) stayed about nine hours one night,” said Lt. Swift. Authorities said Harris is due in court September 13. He remains in police custody in lieu of a $150,000 bond. No word yet on a court date for the juveniles.
