Jackson Man Charged with Rape

An 18-year-old Jackson man is facing rape charges involving a minor. According to Jackson police, Cody Daniel Reynolds is charged with statutory rape involving a 13-year-old girl. Reynolds was arrested, Monday at a local high school after police said a mother told them her daughter was having sex with an adult. Investigators said the consensual sex happened earlier this month at a house on Davidson Street. Reynolds is free on a $5,000 bond following a court appearance Tuesday morning. He returns to city court on September 29.
