WWYN 106.9 Doing Radiothon for LeBonheur

Local radio station WYN 106.9 FM has signed on to ensure children can continue to receive treatment at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center. Through Friday morning, the station is hosting it 10th annual radiothon at the Thomas Media studios in downtown Jackson to help children who are in need of medical car at the hospital. The funds will allow the hospital to continue providing it lifesaving research and care. Event host Shane Connor said the event holds a special place in his heart. “From a personal stand point, it’s kind of a mission every year to do the best we can because you never know when it could be your child in the shoes of one of theses stories that we’re telling on the radio,” said Shane Connor, operations manager with Thomas Media. This year’s radiothon airs form 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and will resume Friday morning at 6 and end at 10 a.m. To make a donation to the radiothon, call 1-(877) 335-KIDS (5437).
