Sheriff: Man Stabbed with Scissors will be Charged

An argument in South Madison County between a man and woman ends with the man being stabbed. Madison County sheriff’s deputies said Jimmy Thomas, 36, of Humboldt will be charge after a confrontation with a woman and her son in Pinson around 3:30, Wednesday morning. Investigators said Thomas was asked to leave after he and a woman began arguing, but later returned. He then kicked in the door and began assaulting the woman’s 11-year-old son. The mother told investigators she stabbed Thomas in an effort to protect her child. Thomas was taken to an area hospital and once released, will be charged with one count each of aggravated burglary, aggravated domestic assault and one count of simple domestic assault.
