Ribbon Cutting Marks Beginning of West Tennessee State Fair

The aroma of funnel cakes, corn dogs and 4-H chicken shack is in the air with the return of the West Tennessee State Fair. The lights of the midway were glowing as the fair officially kicked off, Tuesday night. Thousands of people crowded the Jackson Fairgrounds Park for opening night. This marks the 156th year for the West Tennessee State Fair. Activities are scheduled through Sunday evening, including everything from a truck pull to talent shows. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children.
