Time is winding down if you still have not applied for federal disaster assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration following this summer’s excessive heat and drought. The counties in the ABC 7 viewing are included in the disaster loan declaration are Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, Obion, Perry, Shelby, Tipton Wayne and Weakley. The deadline to register is October 17. Eligible farm related and non-farm related applicants, if approved, could receive a loan of up to $2 million. Applications can be downloaded at the SBA’S website, www.sba.com, and must be completed and returned no later than October 17.
