Burns Sentenced in Federal Marijuana Case

A federal judge sentenced a Cedar Grove man to serve 10 years in prison for his role in a federal drug case. John Marcus Burns is charged with conspiracy and distributing more than 100 kilograms of marijuana. Burns is currently serving a sentence in the Tennessee Department of Corrections on state charges stemming form a 2010 incident in Carroll County. the judge ordered seven year sod the 10-year sentence to run consecutively to the state sentence, with the remaining three years to also run concurrent.
