State Supreme Court Suspends Savannah Lawyer

The Tennessee Supreme Court has suspended the license of Savannah attorney James Strong Powell. Powell entered a guilty plea on charges of aggravated perjury. A formal proceeding was held where it was decided Powell would not be able to practice law until the order is dissolved or amended by the Supreme Court of Tennessee.
