The drive along Highway 64 in southwest Tennessee is now a lot easier for commuters. Monday morning, officials with the Tennessee Department along with McNairy County leaders held a special ceremony to note the completion of a widening project of the roadway. A three-mile section of Hwy 64, from state Route 225 to Sandy Flat, was improved by the project. The $23.1 million project was funded through TDOT with moneys from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
