Humboldt Police Investigating Deadly Shooting
Humboldt police are investigating what may have led to a deadly shooting early Sunday morning. According to investigators, it happened in the 500 block of South 18th Avenue. They responded to a shots-fired complaint at around 12:30 a.m., and found Milan resident Lonzell Smith, 22, with multiple gunshot wounds. Smith was taken to Humboldt General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not identified a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Humboldt police or Gibson County Crime Stoppers.
