Library Fundraiser to Block Lafayette St.

A fundraiser to benefit the county’s public library will require a street closure for the event. According to the city street department, both lanes of Lafayette Street from Royal to Church Street will be closed from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., Thursday. The closure is for an event called “Books of Madison County,” an event being held in front of the Jackson-Madison County main library in downtown Jackson. Organizers said the event has something for everyone.
