A show with a message of faith made a stop in Jackson Wednesday. night. The “Music with a Mission” tour brings awareness to poverty, not only in North America but all across the globe. Many Grammy-nominated groups took the stage at Casey Jones Village Amphitheater including headliners Hawk Nelson, Superchick, and Fireflight; along with Mikeschair, Manafest, Hyland, Kiros and Samestate. More than just a concert, the tour focuses on missions and giving families an opportunity to come together, as well as youth groups and churches all over West Tennessee. The Mission tour has partnered with several key organizations like TOMS Shoes and Jedidiah Clothing to aim people in the direction of “going green” in the Jackson area. “It’s an opportunity to know that we can do things here in the Jackson market as well as learn about opportunities to partner with other ministries and even as a youth, that they can learn there’s something that they can do to contribute not only to their community but to other communities around the world,” said Glorious Soundz owner, Jeff Thomas. Promoters said that over 600 people were in attendance Wednesday night to join in hearing the message that was positive and something they could reinforce wholesome values into their life.
