Jack-O-Lantern Dangers
For many, Halloween would not be complete without a Jack-O-Lantern’s signature candle lit smile, but our recent dry spell could soon change the way those pumpkins glow. West Tennessee is not under a current burn ban, but with current drought conditions, the smallest spark could set off a raging fire. Officials want you to use extreme caution when lighting your Jack-O-Lantern and suggest putting LED lights inside your pumpkin instead of candles. The move hopes to minimize fire chances during this year’s Halloween festivities.
