MS Officer Killed In Line Of Duty
Authorities say a Grenada police officer was killed the line of duty Friday while putting out spike strips to stop a car that was fleeing from police.
Grenada Mayor Billy Collins says Capt. John Haddock, who is his 50s, died at the scene on Mississippi Highway 8 near the intersection of Interstate 55.
Collins says the vehicle wrecked after hitting the spike strip. Two people in that car were airlifted to hospitals, one in critical condition.
