Drug Task Force Arrest Several in Meth Lab Busts

A major drug bust in Gibson County by officers with the West Tennessee Drug Task Force, seized everything from prescription drugs to firearms in a raid landing half a dozen people behind bars including a college professor. Officers said while serving a warrant at a home near Milan, they found two active meth labs inside the house, along with remnants of the drug. Another lab was discovered in a second building on the property. Doctor Brent Cox, a history professor at the University of Tennessee at Martin was arrested on several drug-related charges, including marijuana and meth manufacturing. He is currently free on a $50,000 bond. Robert Cox, Donnie McDonald, Justin Powers, Jamie Miller and Robert Miller were also arrested on multiple drug related charges. Robert Miller is currently free on a $30,000 bond. All six suspects are scheduled to return to court in Trenton next Tuesday.
