JMCSS Bus Driver Sentenced

The Jackson-Madison County school bus driver charged with assaulting her supervisor back in August was sentenced on a charge of simple assault, Monday. According to police, Lynda Roberts, 44, must serve 24 hours of community service. If completed by her next court date, the charge will be dismissed and her record expunged. While at the district bus barn in south Jackson, Roberts is accused of grabbing her supervisor and hitting her in the face during an argument over her schedule. According to Superintendent Buddy White, Roberts is no longer employed by the JMC School District.
