Police Arrest Suspect in Glass St. Shooting

The man Jackson police say is responsible for shooting a man in the back in east Jackson on Sept. 27 was arrested Monday. After almost two weeks on the run, Quintez Brown, 19, of Jackson, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. in an apartment in the 500-block of Old Hickory Boulevard. Police believe Brown is the man who pulled the trigger and shot a 21-year-old man in the back along Glass Street. The victim told officers he had pulled over after experiencing car trouble. He said when he lowered his hood, he was confronted by two men who robbed and shot him. Brown faces a charge of especially aggravated robbery in the incident. He faces additional charges in Madison County for violating his parole. Officers have yet to identify the second man who was with Brown.
