Geocaching Catching On In Kentucky
Geocachers can get into the Halloween spirit during an event this weekend at Barren River Lake State Resort Park in south-central Kentucky.
Geocaching is an adventure game that involves using technology and global positioning systems, or GPS, units to find the cache.
There’s a spooky night cache hunt on Saturday followed by a chili dinner, a beginners session, the Amazing Cache Race on Sunday and an event called Caching for Clues.
It all gets started at 8 a.m. CDT Saturday and goes through Sunday. Registration is $10 for adults or $5 for ages 12 and under.
