UT Pharmacy Dean Wins Award

The newly appointed dean for the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis has won an award for her research.

Marie Chisholm-Burns is the winner of the Pharmacy Practice Research Award from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

The honor is for her research on the positive effects pharmacists have on direct patient care as members of professional health care teams.

Chisholm-Burns becomes dean next spring. She is now chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy.
