Davis Facing New Charge in Realtor Attack

The Jackson husband and father charged this summer in the kidnapping and robbery of an area real estate agent now faces a new charged of attempted rape. Monday, a Madison County grand jury indicted Stephen Davis, not only on the counts of aggravated kidnapping and robbery, which was previously filed, but on the new count of attempted rape. Investigators said on July 20, Davis lured the realtor to a house on Derbyshire Drive with the intention of raping her. Police said he admitted to handcuffing, hog-tying and gagging the woman before forcing her into a closet. Davis remains jailed in lieu of $200,000 bond.
