Osteen Sentenced in OCS Robbery and Shooting

The Dresden man convicted of shooting a Jackson Police officer after burglarizing the Old Country Store last year learned his punishment, Monday. Christopher Osteen, 25, was sentenced to one day shy of 17-years in prison for his September conviction. However, he could be eligible for parole after serving about six years. Osteen was also ordered to pay almost $12,000 in fines and restitution in connection with the September 2010 incident.
