Tuesday marks the third day of searching for a Dyer County mother. The mystery only seems to grow around her disappearance. Deputies have been searching for Karen Johnson Swift since early Sunday morning, when officials say the 44 year-old was last seen. Swift apparently left a Halloween party on Saturday night. She had hosted a bonfire at her house Friday night. Authorities confirm her white Nissan Murano was found on Millsfield Highway with a flat tire, not far from her home. Neighbors said they saw her abandoned SUV, but never expected this to happen. Dyer County investigators are not saying anything about their case. Numerous calls to the sheriff went unreturned, Tuesday. The wife and mother of four is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 128 pounds. She has blond hair and green eyes. In a statement from her oldest son, Preston he said the family “really misses her and we’re doing everything we can to find her. We’re all heartbroken and need her back.” The family is originally from Arkansas and has only been living in Dyer County for about four years, but long enough to make good friends, who say they would like to help but, deputies have told them not to get involved right now. A candlelight vigil was held at the Dyersburg YMCA in honor of Swift, Tuesday evening.
