Trooper Injured in Wreck

A state trooper is hospitalized after crashing his cruiser in a ditch in Gibson County. The wreck happened at around 7:45 p.m. along highway 186 between Gibson and Trenton. Investigators said the trooper ran off the side of the road near a bridge while possibly pulling over someone. “He’s in good condition. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance but he’s in good condition,” said State Trooper Ricky Bratton. Officials say there is a lot of construction along Highway 186. They said there has been accidents along the highway before.
