Two Homes Damaged in Cloverdale Fire
Fire investigators believe a fire that burned two homes in East Jackson was accidental, but its devastation is being blamed for leaving at least one person homeless. Fire investigators responded to the call shortly before midnight, Saturday on Cloverdale Street, where flames could be seen shooting from the rooftops of the homes. It took five units more than three hours to put out the fires due to hot spots. Officials said both homes are a total loss. One resident who was at home at the time is currently staying in a hotel.
