Nearly One Million In Marijuana Recovered In Memphis
Police in Memphis report finding marijuana with a street value of $900,000 in a tractor trailer at a truck stop.
Officers said in a news release Wednesday they found 898 pounds of marijuana Monday in 13 separate plastic-wrapped bundles.
Thirty-eight-year-old Andy Hooks, the driver, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell.
Police said the discovery came during a routine check after receiving numerous complaints about drugs and illegal activity at various truck stops.
