Weakley Co. Man Facing Meth and Child Abuse Charges

A Dresden man is facing drug and child abuse charges after a deputy, who attempted to serve a warrant for failure to appear in court, found drugs at the man’s Weakley County residence. According to the sheriff’s department, Terry Joe Billingsby, 26, is charged with manufacture and possession of meth and aggravated child abuse and neglect. He was arrested Friday night near Dresden by a deputy who saw Billingsby run into a carport with a bottle in his hand. The officer found and active shake and bake lab and what is believed to be finished meth. The abuse charge is the result of Billingsby giving the bottle to his small child and telling him to hide it. He was arraigned in general sessions court on the charges, Monday.
